CK Tri was established to promote science-based, personalized coaching in triathlon training. As well as training in individual disciplines of swimming, cycling, running, strength and conditioning. We strive to understand our athletes and help them meet or exceed their athletic goals. Our training programs are individually tailored to each client and are continually adjusted based on training performance data and athlete feedback.
We understand the need for women-specific coaching that accounts for hormone fluctuations which affect training, racing and recovery cycles. We offer uniquely individualized approach that works in sync with women’s bodies to optimize physiological responses and consequently performance.
In addition to the training noted above, we also offer sports nutritionist services, stand-alone training plans, video analysis, small group clinics, Chattanooga IRONMAN course previews, in-person training, and camps.

Coach Kat is a USAT, TrainingPeaks, and Stryd Certified Triathlon and Run Coach, a NASM Certified Sports Nutrition Coach, and is currently pursuing her USAT Level 2 Certification, with a focus on coaching elite and high-performance athletes. With degrees in Psychology and Computer Science, she blends analytical precision with a deep understanding of human behavior and physiology to guide athletes to their full potential.
A former competitive gymnast, gymnastics coach, and swim official, Kat brings a lifetime of athletic experience and discipline to her coaching. She is a multiple-time Boston Marathon Qualifier, IRONMAN World Championship Qualifier, multiple-time IRONMAN 70.3 World Championship Qualifier. She has represented Age Group Team USA for four consecutive years, racing on the world stage in both Standard and Sprint distances and earning a Top 10 finish in her age group at the World Triathlon Championships.
Coach Kat is also an IRONMAN All World Athlete, a multiple-time Nationals Qualifier, and a consistent podium finisher across distances. She is known for her strategic, data-driven coaching, and her passion for helping athletes – especially women – optimize performance through strength, recovery, nutrition, and training that evolves with life stages.
Kat works with athletes who are ready to train with purpose, race with confidence, and reach new levels – whether that means a personal best, a podium spot, or the world stage.
